Add properties, connect booking calendars, and schedule your first appointment.
- Click Properties in the sidebar
- Click Add Property in the upper right
Enter the Property Name—use something descriptive:
- Good: "Beach House on Main", "Downtown Condo 204"
- Not ideal: "Property 1", "Test"
Tip: Include unit numbers if you manage multiple units in the same building.
Option A: Address Search (Recommended)
- Start typing in the Search Address field
- Select from autocomplete suggestions
- Fields populate automatically
Option B: Manual Entry
- Click "Enter address manually"
- Fill in Street Address, City, State, ZIP
Enter:
- Bedrooms: Number of bedrooms
- Bathrooms: Can include half baths (e.g., 2.5)
- Square Feet: Total square footage
These help your team understand scope of work.
Property Status:
- Active: Available for scheduling
- Inactive: Temporarily not being managed
Occupancy Status:
- Ready: Clean and ready for guests
- Occupied: Guests currently staying
- Service Required: Needs attention
- Pending: Status being determined
Search and select amenities from your list, or use quick select for common ones:
- Pool, Hot Tub, WiFi
- Air Conditioning, Heating
- Parking, Beach Access
- Washer/Dryer, Pet Friendly
Click Create Property. Your property is ready!
This is where the magic happens. Connect your Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com calendars to auto-create turnover appointments.
- You provide an ICS calendar URL from your booking platform
- We sync every 10 minutes
- When a new booking appears, we auto-create a turnover appointment based on checkout date
No more manual scheduling for every booking!
From Airbnb:
- Go to your listing on Airbnb
- Click Availability > Calendar sync
- Copy the Export calendar URL
From VRBO:
- Go to your listing
- Find Calendar > Import/Export
- Copy the iCal URL
From Booking.com:
- Go to Property > Calendar
- Find Sync calendars
- Copy the iCal link
- Go to your property in HostHive
- Click the Settings tab (or Integrations)
- Click Add Calendar Integration
- Paste your ICS URL
- Click Connect
Wait for sync (up to 10 minutes) and your bookings will appear.
After connecting a calendar, configure how auto-created appointments behave:
- Go to Settings > Property Integration Settings
- Select your property from the dropdown
- Configure these settings:

Checklist Template Override: If your property needs a different checklist than other properties using the same service name, select it here. Otherwise, leave it as "Use service name default" and appointments will use whatever checklist is assigned to the service name.
Create an appointment manually or let auto-sync do it for you.
From Calendar:
- Click Calendar in the sidebar
- Click New Appointment or click directly on a date
- Select your property
- Choose a service type (Turnover Cleaning, Deep Clean, etc.)
- Set date and time
- Optionally assign to a service partner
- Click Create Appointment
From Property:
- Go to your property
- Click Create Appointment
- Fill in the details and save

- If you assigned someone, they get notified
- They accept or decline the appointment
- On the day, they mark it "In Progress"
- After finishing, they complete a service report with photos
- Connect calendars early: The sooner you connect, the sooner you stop manual scheduling
- Use consistent naming: Makes searching and reporting easier
- Be accurate with details: Bedroom/bathroom counts affect service time estimates
- Add amenities that need maintenance: Pools, hot tubs—so they get checked
Try these:
- Enter the address in a different format
- Use manual entry instead
- Check for typos in city or street name
- Check for error messages during creation
- Clear any filters on the Properties list
- Refresh the page
- Try creating it again
Check these:
- Verify the ICS URL is correct (copy it fresh from the source)
- Wait for sync cycle (every 10 minutes)
- Remove and re-add the integration
- Check if your booking platform changed the URL
- Verify the calendar has bookings
- Check the sync status in property settings
- Make sure the property is set to Active
Your service names aren't set up yet:
- Go to Settings > Service Names
- Add the service types you need
- Return and create your appointment
Your property is set up! Now you can:
- Invite your team to start assigning appointments
- Add more properties
- Explore the Calendar to see everything at a glance
