If you changed your bank password or your bank requires re-authentication:

- An amber warning banner appears at the top of the Finance page
- You'll also receive an email and in-app notification
To reconnect:
- Click the Reconnect button on the bank card
- A Plaid window opens
- Log in with your updated credentials
- Complete any verification steps
- Click Continue
Your connection is restored, and the warning clears automatically.
Sometimes banks require re-authentication even if you haven't changed anything:
- Security updates — Your bank may rotate credentials periodically
- Session expiry — Long-lived connections sometimes need renewal
- MFA changes — Updated two-factor settings may require re-linking
- Bank policy — Some banks require periodic re-verification
When this happens, HostHive notifies you right away so you can reconnect quickly. Your existing transaction history is preserved—you just need to re-establish the connection.
